Tim Jones

Pastor

Tim is from Columbus, returning to his home town to pastor Britt David in 2000. He earned his M.Div. and his D.Min. from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Deena Jones, and they have two children, Alex and Julianna. He’s all about the Georgia Bulldogs and the Cincinnati Reds.

Mark Helms

Minister of Music & Worship

Mark is from Birmingham, and earned a Bachelor of Music from Samford University and a Master of Music from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Cyndi Amos Helms, have two grown children, Kathryn and Will, and two grandchildren, Kadence and Logan. Mark enjoys hunting, fishing, and reading about American History, and he is an Auburn fan (War Eagle!).

Lee Bryant

Minister to Middle School & College Students

Lee is a native from Columbus and has served in ministry for over a decade. Lee received his BA in Christian Studies from Truett-McConnell University. Lee works for Columbus State University Police as the System Security Coordinator. He and his wife, Renea, have two children, Kaleigh and Kayden. The focus of his ministry is to equip students with knowledge and tools needed to engage and pursue a passionate relationship with Christ.

Alan Sinquefield

Minister to High School Students

Alan has been a member of BDBC since he was 9 years old and has worked with the youth since 2015. He and his wife, Jessica, have three kids: Alan Jr, Abby, and Joey. He has a BA in Christian Studies with an emphasis on Theology from Truett-McConnell University, and plans to attend New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary to earn a Master’s Degree.

Alex Jones

Ministry Assistant

Alex is graduating with a BA in English—Professional Writing from Columbus State University. Alex has served as Britt David’s Ministry Assistant since 2014.

Anna Highland

Financial Secretary

Anna has served at Britt David since 2002 as the Financial Secretary.

Dwayne Smith

Facilities Manager

Dwayne has served as Facilities Manager at Britt David since 2005.

Jim Slaughter

Office Administrator

Jim spent 42 years in industry working in various administrative jobs, from an Office Manager to Executive Vice President, plus he worked in the real estate industry with investment property for 9 years. He recently retired from Habitat for Humanity after 11 years as Executive Director. Jim has 6 children and 12 grandchildren and loves to hear them call him Papaw. He gave his life to Christ 49 years ago.
